ABOUT ROSS BARR-HOYLAND

I am business leader with a background in British manufacturing, textiles, and inclusive community development. My career has evolved from creating a heritage-inspired knitwear brand to working at the intersection of retail, fashion, and brand strategy.I founded Ross Barr, a menswear knitwear label built on the principle of “British design, British made.” Each piece was made with locally sourced wool, spun in Yorkshire and crafted in Leicester — celebrating quality, provenance, and timeless design. Today, I work with UNDERU, where I combine my experience in design and brand storytelling with commercial strategy to support a dynamic, customer-focused retail business. This role allows me to connect creative thinking with practical execution — helping to grow a brand that values individuality, confidence, and authenticity.Beyond fashion and business, I’m deeply committed to inclusion and community. As a Trustee of International Gay Rugby (IGR), I work to promote equality, visibility, and participation across our global rugby network, supporting clubs and individuals to build stronger, more inclusive spaces.At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to create with integrity, lead with purpose, and build communities — whether through design, commerce, or sport.
