ABOUT ROSHNI PATEL
Looking for new opportunities to learn and grow in data science. Armed with over 5 years of experience, after working for TATA Steel, one of Europe\'s leading steel producers. In my role as data analyst I helped to analyse data and provide actionable results to aid in the research and development of new products or reduction of defects. As part of the Data Science and Analytics team I would ingest, clean, and analyze process data, to aid in the more consistent and efficient production of steel products. I use Knime to create workflows to process and analyze data, and Tibco Spotfire to visualize my findings.As a data analyst I am familiar with various programming languages, such as SQL, Python and Java, and data analysis and visualisation software packages, such as Tibco Spotfire, Microsoft Power BI and Knime. In my spare time, I continue to develop new skills and sharpen existing knowledge. I have a Masters of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Birmingham, and continue to give back to the university when I can through mentoring and alumni activities. In addition to my technical skills, I enjoy developing creative skills, such as learning different fiber crafts (sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery), photography, painting, sketching and electronics.
