ABOUT ROSANA JUESTEL

I am a seasoned Project, Program, and Portfolio management professional with a proven track record of over a decade in developing effective strategies for delivering projects and programs of varying scales in both private and public sectors. Currently, I hold the position of Senior Project Manager at Amtrak, where I play a critical role within the strategic governance team of the billion-dollar Enterprise Project Management Office.At Amtrak, my responsibilities encompass creating and maintaining project management tools, templates, enterprise standards and guidelines, communications, and compliance training for a team of over 300 Project Managers overseeing a diverse portfolio of 650+ capital projects among others. Previously, as an Enterprise Program and Portfolio Analyst at Synovus Bank, I supported a team of seven portfolio managers and a group of 40+ project managers, scrum masters, and business analysts. In this capacity, I played an instrumental role in achieving outstanding results for the portfolio through effective project governance and compliance, change management, stakeholder management, and comprehensive portfolio reporting. Notably, I contributed to the successful implementation of a new mortgage platform and accounting system, as well as the launch of a new rewards program and services for Synovus Bank.Throughout my career, I have held various roles in project management, quality assurance, and governance at esteemed organizations like TSYS and the City of Columbus Planning Office. Drawing from my engineering background, I approach every situation with a can-do attitude, always seeking solutions rather than dwelling on problems. I firmly believe in the value of continuous improvement and learning from both successes and failures, while also promoting efficiency and productivity by avoiding unnecessary over-inspection.As a firm believer in Servant Leadership principles, I am passionate about inspiring and motivating individuals, fostering collaboration, and creating a positive work environment. I actively engage in volunteer work for professional organizations such as the Project Management Institute, Columbus GA Chapter, and Toastmasters International. Through these engagements, I leverage my organizational, marketing, and leadership skills to help others achieve their professional goals and continue their personal growth. Notably, I led a PMI local chapter for four years, allowing me to exemplify my beliefs and lead by example.
