ABOUT ROHAN KARTHIK

I have always had a passion for using engineering as a playground to apply known concepts of physics in unique and valuable ways to benefit society. My interests in medical technology, robotics, and aerospace have developed and grown over the course of my degree, and I am eager to continue building my skills and knowledge in these fields.As a driven, ambitious mechanical engineering student at Imperial College London I have honed my abilities in solving problems from first principles and effective communication, leading technical teams for engineering projects on numerous occasions. My year in industry as a software engineering intern at CMR Surgical allowed me to develop a strong foundation in using programming languages including Python, C, and MATLAB, in addition to experience with software development tools such as Git and AWS S3.I have a track record of excelling in my studies, achieving top grades and being recognised on the Dean\'s List in the first year of my undergraduate studies. I have also gained hands-on experience through engineering projects such as leading the Karman Space Programme and contributing to the Formula Student battery-pack team, which has allowed me to further expand my leadership, technical skills and teamwork abilities.I am eager to continue building my skills and knowledge in software engineering, electronics and PCB design, and control systems. I am looking for opportunities to make a positive impact in the exciting and rapidly-evolving fields of robotics, medical technology, and aerospace. With my strong foundation in engineering and passion for these fields, I am confident that I can contribute to the success of any team.
