ABOUT ROGER WILFRED MENDONCA

Hi, I’m Roger I’m a curious problem-solver who loves connecting the dots between people, data, and strategy. With a background that weaves through consulting, banking, retail, law, and even microbiology (yes, really!), I bring a fresh perspective to every challenge I take on. These days, I work in consulting at Grant Thornton Ireland, where I help major banks navigate complex projects—think loan migrations, operational reviews, and change programs. I thrive on untangling messy problems, asking the tough questions, and turning insight into action. Before that, I was at Lidl Ireland leading ops and process improvement projects (and learning how much you can get done when you\'re up at 5 a.m.). I also spent time in financial crime compliance at PwC, where I picked up a deep appreciation for detail, regulation, and working across borders. I am also the founder of the Programme for Legal Education and Awareness, an initiative to make law more practical and accessible. In just six months, I led the growth strategy that brought in 400 participants, launched programs for young lawyers, and built platforms for industry dialogue and public legal education. I studied management in Madrid, law in Mumbai, and microbiology (science) before all of that—because I’ve always been a fan of learning how things work from all angles. Outside the 9–5, you’ll usually find me with a violin in hand, singing at a local pub or choir, or volunteering for causes that matter—whether it’s teaching in Romania or mentoring in Mumbai.
