Motor vehicle engineer and assessor. My expert witness role includes consulting to the motor industry and giving independent technical advice to the legal profession and insurance industry. I have attended Court on numerous occasions to give evidence as an expert witness, in both criminal and civil cases. My recent experience of examining vehicle includes most classes of vehicle, motor cycle and commercial vehicles. This involves mechanical, electrical and bodywork examinations, determining the cause of failure and assessing damage. Including engine failure, gearbox failure and suspension and brake failure. Vehicle valuation and diminution of value as a result of mechanical or structural damage. At present my customers range from insurance companied and solicitor firms to vehicle manufacturers, garages, rental agencies, private clients, Dekra, Trading Standards, BBC and Which?
