Although my husband Clive Murgatroyd and I are both now meant to be retired, we don\'t seem to be able to stop caring passionately about the world, and trying to help change for the better! We\'ve therefore reactivated Clive\'s \'climate emergency\' training and research consultancy, Whethergauge. He brings in deep knowledge from defence, in which he practiced and taught capability planning for many years; I bring in the built environment and history. What we\'ve always been delighted by is just how much overlap there is in what we do. Over the years we\'ve been able to learn so much from each other, and have uncovered all sorts of under-exploited knowledge together with all-too-many unquestioned (but wrong) paradigms around sustainability and the climate emergency. We firmly believe there are much better pathways towards a future that would not only be sustainable, but also more joyous, healthy and fulfilling. Therefore while we still can, we plan to keep researching, learning, collaborating, and sharing our knowledge.
