ABOUT ROB SURREY

My background is in engineering and manufacturing.I spent 8 years at Marconi in various roles from Inspection & Quality Assurance to Projects, Implementation and more. My time at Marconi left me hungry to be the best at whatever I chose to do and for the past 14 years that has been recruitment. I spent 2 years with a high street agency running an Industrial desk and was later headhunted for a role where I was able to offer a more specialist consultancy-based service. Whilst there, I developed my own team and became the Technical Business Manager for Hampshire, Surrey and Dorset, and in doing so I helped the Havant office become the most profitable within the group at that time. After that I was headhunted and took up a key role with another local business which was sold after only 3 years for almost 3 million.Following on from this I was thrilled to join a major recruitment force locally which I believed was closely aligned to my vision of a truly quality-based recruitment partner. I enjoyed my time with this organisation, while contributing to the development of the business and learning much along the way. That year they posted what was at that time a record turn over figure of about 77 million.Specialties: Supporting large and bespoke, contractor and permanent accounts with Blue Chip organisations through to Boutique style High Technology, Engineering and IT clients.Supporting - Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Energy, Rail, Utilities and Consultancy.Experienced in start-up, contingency, permanent and contract recruitment, project and consultancy services, Managed Service (RPO, MSP, Master Vendor, Neutral Vendor) solutions, also Advertising Campaign Management and Search & Selection.
