ABOUT ROB ORWIN

I\'m fully immersed in the healthcare industry (and occasionally submerged in NHS and Microsoft acronyms), I work with health organisations across the public and private sectors to help them get the most out of the technology they have—and even more out of the tech they’re about to have.Whether it’s migrating legacy apps to Azure to free up dusty old data centres, building lakes of structured and unstructured data to fuel machine learning, or deploying Copilot to help clinicians spend less time typing and more time caring, I help teams plan strategically, deliver tactically, and iterate relentlessly. These days, I’m deep in the weeds of AI, automation, and precision medicine. From helping Barts Health NHS Trust unlock 2.5 million patient records for cancer diagnostics and genomics, to supporting South London and Maudsley NHS Trust in embedding Copilot into ADHD diagnostic pathways (cutting diagnosis time from weeks to days)—I’m lucky enough to work on projects that genuinely improve lives.[Rob Orwin in chat]I also spend a fair bit of time helping NHS organisations navigate the joys of licensing, funding models, and central tenant mysteries.Projects I’m currently involved in include:Precision Medicine Platforms: Unlocking patient data for research, diagnostics, and AI-driven risk prediction.Copilot Deployments: From M365 to Power Platform, helping clinicians summarise, reword, and generate documents faster and more accessibly.AI in Mental Health: Supporting stretched teams with tools that reduce burnout and improve access to care.Hybrid Cloud: VMWare on Azure, SQL ESUs, and all the fun of keeping things running while modernising.Power Platform Evangelism: Helping NHS teams build their own apps, automate their own processes, and become their own heroes. It’s an excellent way to spend my time.If you’re a health organisation and you’re interested in cloud, Copilot, or just want to talk about how to make your tech work harder (so your people don’t have to), drop me a line.
