ABOUT ROBERTO EDUARDO GONZALEZ VILLALPANDO

I have a degree in Business Administration and International Business with a solid background in operations management, particularly in the Retail and Hydrocarbons sectors. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of facing a wide variety of challenges, which have allowed me to develop a great capacity for adaptation and resilience to changing environments.My professional focus is strongly oriented towards loss prevention, which has allowed me to implement effective strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory control. One of my most notable achievements in this regard was in my time working with Gucci, where I was able to identify and control shrinkage in the stores, regulating batch delivery and taking inventories, resulting in a reduction of shrinkage from 13% to 7%, which represented a significant impact on the profitability of the operation.Another challenge I had the privilege of facing was the opening and operation of the Old Navy brand in Mexico. In this case, the initial shrinkage target was 1.5%. However, at the end of the first year, I was able to reduce the shrinkage to only 0.89%, far exceeding the target set both nationally and internationally. In addition, one of the aspects that motivates me most in my day-to-day work is my leadership skills. I strongly believe in the potential of people, so I have focused on fostering a collaborative work environment and growth. My ability to understand teams, support them in their development and enhance their productivity has been key to achieve organizational goals and carry out projects efficiently. In my foray into the hydrocarbon industry, I had the opportunity to quickly learn about the operational dynamics of this sector, creating from scratch the essential operational processes, such as product ordering, personnel training and customer service, among others. This challenge allowed me to develop multidisciplinary skills that have given me an integral perspective and a more holistic approach to operations management.My experience in different sectors has allowed me to understand the different challenges and opportunities that organizations face, and how to address them effectively.Today, my goal is to continue growing professionally, leveraging my experience and knowledge to bring value to new opportunities and challenges.
