ABOUT ROBERT BÖRNER
Being in the IP business for almost 25 years I offer tailored IP solutions for various types of clients in a wide technical range, including not only patents but trademarks and designs as well. My IP expertise especially includes working on an international level with a specific focus on Japan. After having studied physics at the Technical University in Munich and a PhD in physical chemistry at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels I started working in the IP field as a patent attorney trainee in 2001. I qualified as a German Patent Attorney as well as a European Patent Attorney in 2005. In Summer 2011 I joined Murgitroyd as head of the new Munich office in order to set up and grow the office, which currently has six double qualified (4 x DE/EP and 2 x IT/EP) patent attorney offering services in relation to the full technological spectrum of DE and EP patents as well as to trademarks and designs. After having been responsible for Japan business development within Murgitroyd for more than 10 years, I recently took on another challenge and moved to Japan for a one year secondment with my family. It was a great experience to delve into Japanese culture and to be close to our clients and colleagues.
