Robert C Williams - Professional, Gentleman, ScholarAt a young age I was always fascinated with learning how things worked. The first thing I would do when my parents bought me a new toy was immediately take it apart and learn how it ticks. Next thing you know I am graduating from Michigan Technological University with honors. Since then I have been working in St. Joseph MI for Whirlpool Corporation. During this time I have worked as a cost and quality engineer for our laundry division. Within this role I saved the company more than half a million in annual cost, developed cost savings opportunities for more than 2 million dollars and improved quality on many of our laundry products. In addition, I also worked in the role as a Project Product Development and Subsystem Engineer where I designed, developed and executed one of the most crucial components to a washer machine for mass production. This design received a patent and delivers product leadership among the laundry industry. During this time, I also received recognition from our European manufacturing plants for driving product quality for consumers. Shortly after, I made my way to Whirlpool\'s Quality team as Continuous Improvement Manager for Laundry Dryers. Whirlpool has achieved record quality performance during this time.
