Senior Leader – Provide oversight and direction, managing 300 security employees impacting 9500 laboratory employees. Responsible for an annual budget of $100 million. Oversee a diverse portfolio of technical projects and strategic initiatives, including the development, deployment and maintenance of electronic and video security systems for seven nuclear sites, as well as a high volume of technical components in the overall security and protection strategy. Ensure uninterrupted protection of national assets from a broad range of physical and technical security threats which could cause adverse impact to nuclear capability, the health and safety employees, contractors, the public and the environment. Work closely with the CIO. Engage with Counterintelligence on national security matters. Develop and implement strategic planning, policy and assurance initiatives as required by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and peers, as well as government employees. Oversee technical staff leaders, administrative staff, matrix personnel and Collective Bargaining Unit employees. Responsible for sustainment of 24/7 operations, and meeting over 2500 federal compliance requirements. Manage the development and integration of policies, compliance with regulations, training and performance evaluation. Oversee investigations involving employee security violations.
