ABOUT REBECCA NAVA

Rebecca Nava is a digital transformation leader in the Government of Canada, specializing in modernizing legacy systems, proving product works through delivering results aligned to business goals. She founded the first federal Product Management Community of Practice, driving product thinking across departments. Her work was recognized in the Government of Canada’s Digital Ambition 2022-23 Year in Review. She has led major initiatives, including setting out the product vision for the new My Service Canada Account, launching an open-source COVID-19 solutions platform, and, most recently, launching Foodland Ontario\'s new website and the province\'s first decoupled CMS. Rebecca has a growth mindset and immerses herself in product-related learning opportunities outside of work, ranging from product and tech conferences to podcasts and books. She understands that a good product manager needs to understand the language of design and development enough to ask the right questions. She is committed to supporting the next generation of product leaders. As Program Coordinator for APM Canada, she helped 15 emerging product practitioners complete a professional development program designed to prepare them for leadership roles.
