ABOUT RITA MAIA COSTA
Passionate about human rights, governance, and international diplomacy, I am an International Relations student with practical experience in advocacy and event coordination. As Director of Discussions & Trainings at CECRI, I spearheaded the VI Winter Crash Course on Sub-Saharan Africa, engaging almost 100 students and securing 13 international speakers. I have co-organized debates with IR experts and moderated events on gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights through HeForShe UM and Rainbow Club. My international experience includes an Erasmus+ semester in Italy and participation in two UN simulations, sharpening my negotiation and diplomacy skills. Proficient in English (C2) and Portuguese (native), with knowledge of French (A2+). I excel in strategic planning, intercultural mediation, and public speaking. Driven by social justice and global cooperation, I aim to contribute to initiatives that promote equality.
