ABOUT RICK SNYDER

Retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral (3-star), accomplished senior executive, strategic advisor and board director. Available for opportunities in leadership/organizational development, strategic analysis/planning, and risk management. Also available for board director/advisor positions.I have decades of experience leading large, complex organizations in dynamic, high-risk circumstances. A recognized expert in strategy development and strategic planning. Served as the Naval Inspector General, where I conducted organizational assessments that resulted in improved effectiveness, organizational alignment and reduced risk. These assessments included program compliance, effectiveness and risk; diversity, equity and inclusion; and organizational culture. Combined with extensive experience at the most senior levels of the Department of Defense, I offer a global perspective on risk management, international and inter-governmental relationships, and partnership building. I am currently the principal and founder of EagleStar Group, LLC, providing consulting and advisory services for leadership and organizational development, risk management, strategic planning, and organizational assessment and transformation. I am a member of the Management Group /Partner at Sage Analysis Group, an investment bank industry specialist, and an Independent board director at Chronicle Heritage. I also provide national security expertise to a local news network.During my Navy career, I commanded two Navy helicopter squadrons; USS BATAAN, an 840 foot amphibious assault ship; and Expeditionary Strike Group TWO, responsible for the training and deployment of all the Navy’s east coast amphibious forces, comprised over 20 units and Sailors.I served for more than four years as an admiral conducting strategy and policy development on the Joint Staff and at U.S. Northern Command/North American Aerospace Defense Command, where I developed innovative strategies, risk assessment processes and international relationships for the defense of North America. As the Navy’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response and Suicide Prevention Officer, I developed and implemented a Sexual Assault and Prevention and Response Strategy and measures to reduce the risk of suicide. During my tenure as Inspector General, I implemented process improvements, organizational changes and increased resources to effectively accomplishment the vital investigation and assessment responsibilities.
