ABOUT RICHARD KING

Product Manager / Product Owner specialising in internet/mobile innovation and new product development. With a wide-ranging knowledge of the industry as a whole, I\'m focused on delivering products that meet customers\' real needs and goals, and creating short- and long- term strategies that meet both company goals and customer needs. My last role was as Product Manager at Capita Education, working on their strategy for Reporting across all their products, focusing especially on transitioning to a fully online platform that helps schools and other education centres better understand the trends within their businesses. Previously I worked at Show My Homework, an EdTech startup based in London. I was responsible for managing the core product in-life, delivering incremental improvements, as well as delivering new modules from conception to launch. As part of this, I have formulated both the short and long term strategy and product roadmap for the business and, temporarily, managed the Engineering team until a CTO was hired, during which time I implemented a Scrum-based approach to development. Before TalkTalk I worked at Tesco General Merchandise Online, News International, Orange and Scan Mobile. At Orange, I also acted as Child Protection Officer, representing the business across the industry and also on the Home Office Task Force for Child Protection on the Internet, and successfully developed child safety guidelines for web-based communication services.
