ABOUT RICHARD LENOCE
I\'m an accomplished builder in the media production and education field. My mission has been to bring a world class media arts education to those students whose dreams are often beyond their reach, giving them the same facilities, equipment, curricula, quality teaching and professional expertise equivalent to those at larger and much more expensive communications schools and university programs. After college, I freelanced in Broadcasting for a couple of years eventually landing a position at Aetna Life and Casualty where I was hired as an engineer to assist in the designing of an education center, video conferencing system, and broadcast quality production facility. I left that position, taking my experiences to a small community college in central Connecticut, Middlesex Community College. After 15 years, teaching and managing all media programs, I applied for and received a $2.5 million Federal grant, with a $2.5 million State match, to work with architects, designers and engineers to create one of the most advanced media education and production facilities in the country, Middlesex Community College\'s Center for New Media. I was provided funding to analyze the Connecticut media market which allowed us to create innovative applied associate\'s degree programs that balance hand\'s-on education with real world experiential learning in this new world class facility. I\'ve most recently implemented an Applied Associates Degree in Digital Marketing, the first of its kind in Connecticut. I\'ve worked as an administrator, professor, media producer and instructional technologist. I also co-founded an entrepreneurial venture at Middlesex Community College, Center for New Media Productions, to sustain our center by producing videos for Fortune 500 companies and State agencies, while providing students with hands-on production experiences they would not normally find at a typical internship. I\'ve succeeded in my mission as hundreds of my students are working around the country in film, television and digital media including producers at TV networks, Hollywood movies, editors of film and television programs, innovators and influencers in digital and social media, as well as many young people supporting their communities through providing digital media to non-profits, businesses, healthcare and municipalities. If you need something built, I\'m your person.
