St Michael\'s House has a strong culture of volunteerism and has welcomed volunteers from the beginning when it was set up in 1955 by Patricia Farrell, a mother whose son Brian had down syndrome and her friend Madge Atock. Volunteers make a major contribution, they bring diversity and a wealth of experience through the sharing of their time, energy and enthusiasm. I manage programmes that bring people together, whether it\'s volunteers, students, staff or corporate partners. With over 20 years’ experience organising and leading community, CSR and employee engagement initiatives, I specialise in developing systems that are practical, inclusive and purpose-driven.At St. Michael’s House, I re-launched & redesigned the organisation’s volunteer programme and later redesigned the Corporate Champion Programme, building long-term partnerships with national and international companies. I also designed and run the TY (Transition Year) placement programme and manage the WorkAbility supported employment programme, where I lead on planning, strategy, reporting and team coordination.My approach is hands-on, values-led and focused on creating experiences that help people feel connected, supported and part of something meaningful. I understand the importance of connection in hybrid work environments and have adapted programmes in the past to keep people engaged and included, even when working remotely.I’m passionate about the power of purpose-led work and I bring both structure and heart to everything I do.
