ABOUT LIZ DALBY ES-M BW-M
As a technical author and bid writer I draw on the expertise of SMEs to help tell a story about what the future could look like. I currently work on bids for major infrastructure and professional services, and have also worked in foodservice. One of the things I most enjoy about my job is the chance to dive deep and find out a lot about any given subject or area of work in a short space of time, through conversations with passionate colleagues delivering transformative projects. And then find ways to communicate that to clients.Moving into bid writing (in 2022) built on all my previous professional experience and expertise, while also representing a seismic career shift. Prior to becoming a bid writer, I worked as a non-fiction editor and writer for over twenty years, first in-house for book publishers and later for myself. I worked on hundreds of book-length projects and countless shorter ones, at all stages of the process, from commissioning and project management to copyediting and proofreading. I remain an Advanced Professional Member of the CIEP.
