Renner Johnston is the newly appointed President of Mogavero Architects, a renowned firm known for its innovative and sustainable design solutions across a range of projects, from mixed-use developments and transit-oriented neighborhoods to student housing and residence halls. Renner leads the firm\'s daily operations with a dedicated and diverse team, all driven by a shared passion for enhancing communities through thoughtful design.Recognized as an industry authority in design and place-making, Renner is highly respected by business leaders, educators, and peers alike. He actively contributes to organizations such as the ULI Sacramento Chapter, demonstrating his commitment to shaping the built environment in a positive way.Renner\'s journey in architecture began during his time living in Germany and traveling around Europe, sparking his lifelong dedication to the field. He furthered his expertise with a Master\'s in Architecture from the University of Oregon before joining Mogavero Architects in 1996. Throughout his tenure, Renner has remained steadfast in the firm\'s mission of sustainable design and excellence in housing.As a Partner and now President, Renner has overseen numerous impactful projects, including the 7th & H residences in downtown Sacramento, the Cuarto Dining Commons at UC Davis, and the innovative Mather Veterans Village. His current endeavors include pioneering initiatives like the artist Lofts at Fort Visalia and the Colegio zero net energy project, funded by a research grant from the California Energy Commission.Renner\'s approach emphasizes pedestrian-friendly spaces, sustainable practices, and pragmatic design solutions.
