I’m one of those people who gets things done.Not just making sure the numbers balance, the processes are in place and the risks are managed. I’ll also make sure the conversations have taken place, the priorities are clear and the strategy is sound. Whether we’re looking at organisation-wide projects with stakeholders on the board, or the teams on the ground who make things happen, I know that to make progress it’s the people who are important.While my understanding of financial management might be the first entry on my skills list, it’s how I work which makes me different. We all know that each stakeholder on your project has their own priorities. I am able to quickly identify requirements – no matter how complex, create the plan which brings mutual benefits and communicate a clear picture so that everyone understands the common goal and how they’re being supported.My drive comes from knowing that my vision can create change and my passion is working with the individuals around me to make it happen. I’m constantly looking to improve my own performance, pushing myself to learn more, do more and make effective changes. And that striving isn’t just for my own growth; my priority is to support the same development in those around me – supporting my teams to achieve more and feel confident doing it. I bring clarity and focus to difficult situations, calm and honesty to working relationships and confidence and enthusiasm to every delivery. I believe my greatest strength is making sure I consider the whole picture, big and small.
