Leads the finance team in ensuring all Revenue recognition for EURA and MENA region is performed accurately and in compliance with US GAAP and Corporate policies• Provide technical expertise on the new Revenue Recognition standard especially around contracts structuring.• Liaise with the corporate team on any revenue related issues and provide regular update on their resolutions and ensuring that corporate accounting directives and policies are being followed.• Review regional License and services agreements for compliance with internal revenue recognition policy and guidance under IFRS15 and ASU- Topic 606 and all other relating pronouncements.• Partner with the EURA & MENA sales account leaders and country / regional sales directors to address revenue recognition issues as license and service agreements are negotiated.• Facilitating expertise determining revenue impact using non-standard terms and conditions, opportunity documentation, approving bundling assessment and concession testing.Achievements• Implementation of new accounting rules cover under IFRS15 and ASC 606. • Improving revenue recognition process by implementing new controls and Checklist. A major achievement to build up relation with sales, directors and other core business functions ensuring all challenges cover on a timely manner.• Improved the VSOE reports structure which enabled the company to get an accurate and instant picture of revenue and discount variances, margin analysis etc.• Create a Project reports on a monthly basis ensuring all key risk projects addressed which have financial implication in short term future. Successfully able to work on a tight deadlines especially during the run up to the quarter-ends• Creation of the back-up procedure and cross trained team for providing back up for License/ service during limited resources. Providing monthly Learning session as a revenue expert and FRAC consideration.
