ABOUT JENNY RAY

I am a Chartered Town Planner with more than 20 years\' experience in both the public and private sector. I am an Associate Director at Spawforths and lead Spawforths\' EIA activities.My specialist experience has been gained through work as an Environmental Assessment Co-ordinator and Project Manager for a variety of large scale and strategic projects. These include infrastructure, motorway service areas, mixed use, logistics, paper mill, housing and renewable energy development. This involves the preparation and submission of environmental statements and planning applications, and negotiating them through the planning process to determination. Other skills and experience include site promotion to secure site allocations, appeals and all other planning related advice and services.I advise a wide range of clients including developers, local authorities, landowners, house builders and energy and infrastructure providers on planning and environmental matters. My recent projects include Motorway Service Areas in Yorkshire and the North West; a number of large strategic employment sites across the North of England, Yorkshire and the Midlands; urban extensions and relief roads in Yorkshire and the North West; and a paper mill in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
