ABOUT RAYHAN

Hi, my name is A R Rayhan. I\'m a filmmaker, community activist, and podcast host based in Oldham, UK. I started my career as an Islamic teacher after graduating from Al Jamiah Al Islamiah, Bolton Boarding School in 2005. However, I discovered my passion for filmmaking and storytelling several years ago and have been pursuing it ever since. I\'ve spent the past few years working on various film productions and learning from experienced filmmakers across the country. I recently received a BA Honours degree in Independent Filmmaking in 2022, which allowed me to develop my skills in scriptwriting, producing, and directing. As a result, I\'ve written, produced, and directed my own short film that addresses important issues such as suicide and mental health. In addition to my work in filmmaking, I\'m also a dedicated community activist. I work with young children and teenagers to help them develop the skills they need to become better leaders in their communities. My passion for this work stems from my belief in using Islam to provide young people with the guidance and support they need to navigate the challenges of modern life. Recently, I\'ve started a podcast that focuses on community issues and features interviews with people from all walks of life. My hope is that through this podcast, I can create meaningful conversations that inspire listeners to think deeply about the issues that affect their communities and take action to create positive change. Overall, I\'m a creative and passionate individual who is committed to making a difference in my community through my work in filmmaking, activism, and podcasting.
