ABOUT RAND MAEENI
A visual artist based in Los Angeles, working across painting and material-based abstraction to explore form, memory, and psychological resonance. Born in Baghdad and raised between Iraq, the UAE, and currently in the U.S, my practice is shaped by personal histories of displacement, endurance, and transformation. Before moving into full-time studio work, I spent over a decade in global branding and design; a foundation that continues to inform the visual discipline and conceptual clarity in my art. My work invites viewers into layered spaces where material, gesture, and emotion quietly coexist; holding complexity, ambiguity, and a sense of embodied presence.
