ABOUT R. D. JOSHI

With 2 decades of banking experience, I am currently the SVP and Head of Operations and Technology at United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) India, a foreign bank in the country. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), with a strong background in treasury management, banking operations, project management, risk management, compliance, and governance.As a member of various committees, such as the Management Committee, ALCO, Risk Management Committee, and Audit Committee, I drive the IT strategy and operational excellence for the branch, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, meeting business objectives, and exceeding customer expectations. I have set up and established robust operational processes and controls, which are well rated in the group\'s overseas branches structure. I am also responsible for managing all IT-related outsourcing arrangements, complying with all regulatory guidelines and organization\'s policies and procedures, and managing information security. Through robust IT governance, I have led the successful rollout and life cycle management of new products, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
