ABOUT RACHELE BIMBI

I am passionate about translating disruptive technology into reality and scale. With over 15 years of experience navigating in research financed projects and in the tendering world I am able to turn many proposals into successful projects which impact people’s lives. A catalyst for strategic business solutions by understanding both the macro and the micro economic and political rationale of the programmes and relating them with international clients, stakeholders and partners. One of my core strengths is the ability to identify new opportunities – spanning from the first conceptualization to the final implementation of a portfolio of actions with governmental institutions for development cooperation, research organizations, European institutions, NGOs and consulting firms. Highly developed proficiency delivering results in a diverse setting having worked with different cultures. Currently as Head of RINA Industry Tender Unit, I focus on disruptive innovation initiatives sponsored by European Commission, ESA, NATO, F4E, IFIs and many other funding organizations. The key highlights of my role are- Leading the proposal preparation of cutting edge and commercially astute bids with attention to technical, financial and administrative quality and compliance- Collaborating with my team on the day to day bid management of opportunities across Europe including APAC working with a global team of business managers and technical leaders. Some of my core competencies as an outstanding leader include being a rapid decision make; a team player and motivational leader with multinational business management experience. I pride myself for being an introspective leader who continues to embrace change, with a willingness to challenge myself, in addition to garnering new experiences during my assignment in Singapore working across in a multicultural environment.
