Is it working? Want to make it better? I’m the person you need!From my earliest memory I’ve looked for the way to make things as efficient as possible. The only way to do that sometimes is to dive in and pull something apart and put it back together. My first adventure in this was servicing my bicycle as an 11 year old, pulling apart a pedal brake rear wheel to clean it up, regrease and reassembling it before bombing off down the road to a favourite bike track.In my working career this insatiable desire to understand how things work has enabled me to synthesize ideas and understanding across a broad range of areas to make things better. In my early career as an auditor understanding systems was critical to finding out how something might break. Before I found programming I was developing my skills in spreadsheet land and discovered that programming was a gateway to building new and exciting things from the foundations of a working system.I’ve worked with organisations to help them improve the systems they have to make the most of the money they’ve already spent rather than just buy something new. I’ve seen too much “shelfware” to be comfortable with letting it sit idle and untapped. I’m particularly interested in helping organisations, especially law firms, tackle the wave of technology that is descending on them.
