ABOUT RACHEL MAKINGS
As Senior Vice President over Duals and Medicare strategy and business enablement, Rachel is accountable for Cityblock’s ambitious and exciting strategy to stand apart from any other Medicare value based provider by focusing on Duals and underserved Medicaid communities. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, Rachel and team are driving growth, performance and innovation in Cityblock’s Duals line of business through strategic partnerships with DSNP and MMP health plans and other channel partners. Rachel and team enable this growth and performance by taking the lead on defining and driving a multi year capability roadmap across product, clinical and operations at Cityblock. Prior to Cityblock, Rachel held multiple leadership positions at Aetna, a CVS Health company, including leading care management for Aetna 3+ million Medicare and Duals members. Prior to joining Aetna, Rachel gained a decade of international experience in healthcare through management and strategy consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Rachel is currently studying the way climate change impacts health inequalities at Yale School of Public Health and previously studied international health policy and economics at the London School of Economics. Rachel is recognized by peers and managers for driving strategic enhancements in the way we care for members and our care teams along with excellence in business acumen, budget and results management. Rachel’s track record has earned her rapid growth in scope of role and responsibility. Rachel remains passionate about government programs, payer-provider integration and consumer engagement in healthcare.
