In 1989 I lost the ability to speak. I was forced to leave a 6-year banking career.I was diagnosed with the adductor variety of Laryngeal Dystonia. I recently learned that Robert F Kennedy Jr, Dilbert creator Scott Adams, NPR host Diane Rehm, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC are living with the same diagnosis. The condition affects 2 in people. Everyone’s situation is different. Misdiagnosis is frequent. There is no known cure at this time.This is where my journey to better understand natural, integrative and alternative therapies started. I conducted further research on subliminal messaging, hypnosis, meditation, vitamin. I later complemented this research by digging into Quantum healing, becoming a certified Master Reiki Teacher in both USI & Karuna reiki lineages, studying Shamanism, along with a host of other courses and certifications. I\'ve shared my spiritual story and interests at I had to find a way to make a living that didn\'t rely on verbal communication. I landed on the doorstep of the which was very much in its infancy at the time. I learned how to program.Fast forward, and I\'ve spent more than 25 years working in the web development software industry. My teams and I have worked with more than 20 different content management systems (CMS), and deployed applications in 19 countries and 14 languages. What we discovered from our work was that the CMS market has a built in compromise. Organizations are being forced to compromise security, for simplicity or affordability. So we set out to change the game, by developing a SaaS CMS called QuickSilk.QuickSilk is a secure enterprise grade, subscription based, Content Management System (CMS). Our clients use QuickSilk to design, build, deploy, manage & analyze the performance of their websites, micro sites, extranets, eCommerce, eLearning, social web & collaboration portals.
