I am currently working as a US Onboarding Associate at Medix, a well-known healthcare staffing firm. In this role, I manage the onboarding process for new hires, which includes launching their onboarding paperwork based on their job role and handling I-9 form-related inquiries and compliance.• My core responsibilities involve sending out onboarding paperwork along with login credentials (ID and password) to new hires through the HCM system. Once paperwork is submitted, I review the documents to ensure everything has been completed correctly according to the job requirements. Based on this review, I take appropriate next steps.• If any required documents—such as diplomas, certifications, or other job-specific credentials—are missing, I reach out to the talent and request them to upload or send the necessary documents.• Once the paperwork is complete, I assist the candidate with I-9 verification by providing them with the available ID verification methods to prove their eligibility to work in the U.S. In cases where submitted documents are missing or expired, I request alternative valid documents or receipts to complete the I-9 process.• After the I-9 verification is finalized, I guide the new hire through additional compliance steps, which include scheduling a drug and health screening (requirements vary by state), verifying educational qualifications, and conducting a 7-year criminal background check. These steps ensure full compliance for onboarding candidates with Medix clients.• In my day-to-day work, I utilize tools such as Bullhorn (ATS), Aha (for compliance tracking), Dialpad (for voice communication), Sense (for candidate messaging), and Google Calendar/Google Meet (for conducting video-based ID verifications).
