Om group’s manufacturing arm Transafe is offering a supply of ISO shipping Containers, Tanks, various special containers for marine, highway, and railway, offshore containers and integrated equipment containers, bunk houses, E-houses etc.Key Result Areas: • Spearheading the purchasing department for OM group that involves 7 group companies, which includes 480 branch offices, around 107 warehouses, 3 manufacturing plants, vehicles and 10 automotive repair workshops • Managing all the procurement, vendor management and cost-saving activities of OM group’s manufacturing plants, fleet, operations, IT, construction and admin-related requirement • Leading end-to-end procurement function involving identification of opportunity, negotiations, placing contracts as per organization’s policies and governance framework • Approving Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with the selected vendors, price & technical specifications and delivery schedule • Instituting & executing high-level supply chain strategies, making decisions and overcoming complex business challenges using experience-backed judgment, strong work ethics and irreproachable integrity • Guiding the team to compile bid packages and issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ); receive bids and prepared commercial bid summary to arrive at a purchasing strategy • Supporting the team and helping them mediate between vendors and the accounts payable manager with regards to incorrect invoicing and payment issues.
