I will be joining Grieg Seafood Newfoundland as an Aquaculture Technician (Work-Term Student), where I will contribute to the day-to-day operations of a freshwater-based aquaculture facility. This opportunity will allow me to apply my academic knowledge in a professional environment while gaining hands-on experience in fish husbandry, system maintenance, and environmental sustainability.Key responsibilities will include:Supporting the facility team in routine operations and site maintenance.Monitoring system performance and conducting daily inspections.Adhering to strict biosecurity and safety protocols.Handling aquaculture-related chemicals safely and responsibly.Recording and maintaining data relevant to water quality and production performance.This role aligns with my ongoing academic training in aquaculture and reflects my commitment to responsible and innovative fish farming practices. I am excited to contribute to Grieg Seafood’s mission of sustainable seafood production while enhancing my technical and professional skills.
