ABOUT PRASHANT S.
I am a recent MEng graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary, specializing in Project Management, and I’m currently growing my career in the Canadian construction industry. Most recently, I worked as an Estimator Intern, where I supported cost estimation for multi-family and single-family residential projects—reviewing architectural drawings, preparing material take-offs, coordinating pricing, and gaining valuable exposure to Canadian specifications, codes, and construction workflows.Before moving to Canada, I spent over two years working on-site in India as a Civil Engineer/Field Coordinator. I contributed to projects such as the AEPS College extension and a Greenfield industrial facility for Delta Finochem Pvt. Ltd, along with supporting township development work at the NTPC Thermal Power Plant. These roles not only strengthened my civil engineering technical knowledge, but also helped me build a strong foundation in project coordination, quality control, procurement, tender documentation, and schedule tracking within fast-paced construction environments.My long-term goal is to build a career in project coordination and construction management—focusing on planning, estimation, and digital workflows that drive efficiency and successful project delivery. I’m passionate about combining technical knowledge with practical site experience to support teams, solve problems, and contribute to high-quality construction projects across Canada.
