WORK HISTORY
Senior Director, Hardware Development Group (Hdg) @Synopsys Inc
Leading HDG as part of the Hardware, Analytics, & Test (HAT) team to help Synopsys build out a new market segment, Silicon Lifecycle Management (SLM). This business segment entails adding silicon sensors to all customer ICs, extracting data from these sensors to analyze in big-data software, and then extracting actionable intelligence to influence chips in early, mid, or late stages of their lifecycle. Helping Synopsys identify, execute, and assimilate software and hardware acquisitions. Assimilation involves executing a turn-around to align these companies’ product portfolios and operations to service SLM’s business needs and then pivoting to accelerated growth to scale and sustain operations. Creating the system level product, which is a software-hardware hybrid solution. Specifically, working with the hardware team to create new sensors and highways to extract sensor data from the hardware layer. to the software abstraction layer. Then analyzing it using proprietary algorithms encapsulated in software, to extract SLM’s business value - actionable intelligence. This actionable intelligence is returned from the software abstraction layer as an execution action, to the software-hardware product, at various stages of its lifecycle. · Assessed landscape of the organization and crystallized strategy to intercept SLM’s business needs: Capacity augmentation and introducing software automation to scale and sustain operations. o Team size has grown from around 40 engineers to 170+ engineers since 12/2021. Diversifying portfolio to add digital and mixed signal IP (MSIP) sensors in addition to scaling existing analog sensors. · Building out the organization to scale and sustain our operations by adding the following missing functions - project management, project engineers, Foundry Design Technology Co-optimization. · Quadrupled HDG’s revenue from around USD 10 million in FY20 to approximately USD 40 million in FY23.
