ABOUT POPPY BYRON

Senior PR Manager with almost 20 years of global experience within the videogames industry in both public relations and community management, dealing with all platforms (PC, Console, Mobile), and both free-to-play and premium models, as well as gaming tech hardware. I\'ve managed external communications in all major regions including EMEA, NA, APAC and LatAm. My video game PR experience features all kinds of different titles ranging from larger titles (Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 5 Tactica, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Reload, Soul Hackers 2), to MMORPGS (RuneScape, Stellar Dawn, Worlds Adrift) and smaller indie hits (Surgeon Simulator, I am Bread, Tails of Iron, Eldest Souls, Etrian Odyssey HD Collection). Each and every one of these titles has a special place in my heart. As well as games, I\'ve launched ten audio gaming peripherals, including state-of-the-art gaming headsets, gaming audio software and DAC audio amplifiers. In 2014, I ran some workshop sessions at BAFTA entitled \'How to Get Your Game Noticed\', was a judge on the BAFTA Games \'Ones to Watch\' panel, and organised and ran the London VR Developer Meetup between 2013 and 2015. Comfortable managing or working as part of a team or as a lone ranger; video games - the people who make them, and the people who play them are my life. I thrive across a range of environments from fast-paced start-ups to larger international companies and more structured, global teams. Lifetime gamer and passionate lover of tech. I once launched an animated TV show from a hotel room in LA at midnight, wearing a fancy bathrobe. True story.
