ABOUT PIPPA STACEY

My name is Pippa, and the biggest challenge of my career so far has been trying to find a succinct answer to the question \"so what do you do, then?\". As a disabled freelancer, I work as a writer and speaker, and as a communication consultant in the charity sector. I\'m also privileged to be a blogger and influencer with a thriving online audience, and I\'m increasingly exploring opportunities in the mainstream media too. Acquiring my chronic illness as a young adult completely changed my career path, and entirely for the better. My work has grown from sharing my own lived experiences, and I\'m now on a mission to fulfill my ambitions and live my very best life alongside my long-term health condition. With a thriving online community and over readers all over the world, I love to explore influencer marketing opportunities, engage with writing projects close to my heart, and as of 2020, develop my skills as a public speaker and presenter too. For the last two years, I\'ve also had the honour of being named in The Disability Power 100 as one of the most influential disabled people in the UK. I\'m equally as proud to work as a Communications Consultant for Astriid - a small charity matching talented people with long-term health conditions (and their carers) with meaningful work. Inclusive education and employment are particular interests of mine, and being part of an organisation that\'s creating visible change in the world of work truly means the world to me. In my free time, I enjoy theatre, reading, and fundraising. You can always find plenty of posts about these things, as well as more about me, my chronic illness story, and awards and accolades, over on my blog - Life Of Pippa!
