ABOUT PIPER HOLLAND
I have always had a keen interest in the study of human issues analyzed through a global lens. I am dedicating my life to becoming a truly global citizen, taking every chance I get to learn about other countries and cultures as I seek to understand the role the US plays and how we are perceived globally. My academic journey at Stanford has been defined by immersive, real-world experiences, from studying social development and transitional justice in Cape Town to exploring NATO relations and European security in Berlin. I have served as Lead Ambassador for Stanford’s Bing Overseas Study Program, presented research on the ICC at the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society conference in Washington DC, and participated in the Hertog War Studies Program at the Institute for the Study of War. As a mentee in the Hoover Institution’s National Security Affairs Fellows Program, I have deepened my understanding of diplomacy, defense, and interagency collaboration. Driven by a commitment to becoming a global citizen, I aim to strengthen international cooperation and advance U.S. diplomacy through informed, culturally conscious policy work.
