ABOUT PIETRO COSTANZA
After graduating in Agricultural Sciences in Palermo with full marks, I obtained the title of PhD in Plant Physiology. Following the PhD, I won a 4-year research contract to continue to carry out the research topic in the field of tree crops. I have made over 50 publications in national and international journals as well as numerous participations in conferences. I have held numerous lessons at the university and I have had the opportunity to deepen plant physiology under numerous agronomic aspects (pruning, irrigation, phytosanitary treatments and fertilization). After this nine-year research experience in the field of plant physiology, I decided to go to work for multinational companies working in the field of plant nutrition, first as research and development manager and then as marketing manager. I have worked for the most important companies in the world in this sector (Timac AGRO Italia, EuroChem and today Compo Expert). Very different companies and with very different types of nutritional products. I did a lot of technical training in the sales area, I managed relations with the headquarters (France, Switzerland and Germany) for the definition of experimental tests for new products (fertilizers and biostimulants). I have dealt with the topic of plant physiology and in particular of the nutrition of agricultural plants in depth during these years. I know very well the world of fertilizers and biostimulants in agriculture.
