Expert - Team Europe Direct; Europe Direct est une équipe d\'experts en communication mise en place par la Représentation permanente de la CE en France. Je me concentre principalement sur les travaux de l\'Union européenne dans son ensemble (à travers le rôle de l\'UE dans les initiatives de développement durable, la politique de sécurité au sein de l\'Union européenne, la participation des jeunes au sein des structures)- Notre mission est de renforcer la démocratie européenne en impliquant les citoyens dans l\'UE, stimulant ainsi le débat public sur l\'Union européenne. Nous suivons de près l\'évolution des politiques de l\'UE et fournissons à la Représentation des informations sur les préoccupations et les réactions des citoyens à l\'égard des politiques de l\'UE- Nous utilisons nos compétences en matière de communication pour rendre les sujets européens accessibles par le biais de différentes plates-formes, notamment des présentations, des panels, des interventions dans les médias, des conférences, etc.

ABOUT PIERRE-JEAN CLAUSSE
Pierre-Jean Clausse is a specialist in international relations, climate action, and youth affairs, with a strong focus on public engagement and policy-making. As the founder and president of Génération Maastricht, Europe’s largest youth-led think-and-do tank on European affairs, he has built a platform for over young changemakers to influence critical EU and global discussions. Pierre-Jean also serves as an EU Climate Pact Ambassador where he coordinates French Ambassadors in advancing the EU’s Green Deal and climate objectives across various sectors. He is also part of the Team Europe Direct network of professional communicators in EU member states, to disseminate EU policies countrywide.With expertise in international environmental law, developed through his membership of the World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL) at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Pierre-Jean has contributed to advancing environmental legislation and ensuring its practical implementation. He has led projects within UN and G20 working groups, focused on sustainable development, youth empowerment, and policy reform. Currently, he is pursuing research on sustainable public procurement with a focus on strategic affairs, aiming to integrate eco-responsibility into public contracts and strategic procurement frameworks. This research aligns with his broader commitment to fostering climate-conscious policies in all domains, including those traditionally challenging to decarbonize.Pierre-Jean’s academic affiliations include Harvard University, where he continues to deepen his understanding of sustainable governance. His mission is grounded in the belief that empowering young voices and fostering intergenerational collaboration are essential to achieving an equitable, sustainable future across Europe and beyond.
