Selected from over 4500 candidates across 150 countries, the Youth Sounding Board (YSB) is a group of 25 young people who advise the Commissioner and the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) on youth participation and empowerment in EU external action. This allows young people to have an influence on EU external action and international partnerships and thereby contributes to make EU action more participatory, relevant and effective for young people in EU partner countries, across all political priorities.

ABOUT LUIS GUSTAVO HEREDIA VASQUEZ
Latino student and builder interested in how AI, machine learning, and financial systems interact in the real world. I’m currently studying Economics and Data Science at Pitzer College, in the US, where I’m developing a strong foundation in modeling, statistics, and computational thinking. Lately, I’ve been exploring AI and machine learning, especially how tools like LLMs, agents, and data-driven systems are being applied in practical products and workflows. I’m also interested in fintech and how technology is reshaping financial access, decision-making, and markets. I work with Python, JavaScript, and SQL, mainly through small projects and experimentation as I learn new concepts.
