ABOUT PHILIP SUTHERLAND

I am an arts professional with over 30 years of experience across commercial print, photography, and imaging production. From creative visualization services to commercial photography, my focus is always on creating images that stand out and tell a clear, compelling story.Over the past three decades, I have produced experiential marketing projects and built custom studio environments for companies ranging from Red Bull event installations and club interiors to large-scale building wraps for Coca-Cola, Steam Whistle, and Moosehead Beer. My work spans industries and formats, blending technical precision with creative problem-solving.As a photographer, I have captured everything from trains and industrial equipment to creative beverage campaigns and portraits of notable figures including William Shatner, Kevin Smith, and Elijah Wood. While these projects have been highlights, I am most proud of my work with the West Toronto Photography Group and Partager Community Arts. Working with an Indigenous-led, not-for-profit community arts organization has been deeply rewarding and has helped me reconnect with my passion for arts education and community building.I am committed to sharing knowledge, mentoring artists, and collaborating with creative people who help make this city a better place to live and create. I also am a Brand Ambassador for Elinchrom Lighting equipment.I also offer private instruction in all aspects of photography and imaging production.
