The Festival Director is responsible for the overall leadership for Freedom Festival Arts Trust. Curating a diverse, world-class, multi-art form programme that is reflected in the Freedom Festival, the organisations flagship internationally acclaimed festival. The organisation draws upon local, national, & international talent, celebrating Hulls pioneers of freedom activism & justice reform. Ensuring art is accessible for everyone, FFAT uses public space & transform civic spaces to create unique cultural & heritage experiences. Key responsibilities include developing and producing the annual festival, commissioning exceptional programming, building & maintaining partnerships, & driving forward a year-round arts engagement programme, that reflects the festival\'s vision & values while establishing Hull as a leading destination in the arts & outdoor events. Responsibilities:Creative Direction: Develop and implement a programme of exceptional artistic activity reflecting the festival\'s vision, encompassing diverse art forms & reflecting social issues. Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the strategic development of the organisation, working to elevate the festival\'s local & international reputation. Programme Development: Commission & produce the annual Freedom Festival, working to innovate & refresh the event\'s content & offerings. Audience Engagement: Create engaging & diverse programming for a multi-generational audience, aiming to bring public spaces to life & encourage cultural participation. Partnerships & Funding: Build & maintain strong relationships with local, national, & international partners & stakeholders to secure resources & support the organisation\'s growth & sustainability. Year-Round Engagement: Develop & drive a year-round arts engagement programme beyond the main festival event. Talent Development: Discover & encourage talent, creating opportunities for artists & performers to showcase their work.
