ABOUT PHIL DENT

As Head of Retail Operations & Development. I am responsible for 4 functions: Retail Central Support; Compliance; Portfolio & Change Management; and Project Delivery. Responsibility includes governance of commercial change activity ranging from the implementation of new systems, and implementing new channels and market places, through to transformative change activity within retail operations. Responsibility also extends to supplier contracts, consumables and equipment spend, service contracts and compliance accountability across several retail functions and processes. Through previous operational roles including Regional Director I am also highly motivated by developing others and realising profit and sales results through strategic plans and seeking out new commercial opportunities. Having experience across commercial field & central operations and portfolio delivery / change management gives me a broad experience of working with colleagues not only across retail departments but collaborating with stake holders across a business spanning 5 separate directorates.This has given me an excellent understanding of working across different governance structures, ensuring stake holders are fully involved at all levels and are clear on the overall retail objectives and aims.Leading large teams and managing an estate in excess of 100 sites across my operational roles, and now managing a team of managers responsible for the 4 teams in my current role gives me a wide experience of managing teams across various disciplines. I am Passionate about the people I work with and the profits we deliver, and being able to grow talent and progress the retail proposition is what inspires me everyday.Stakeholder management and cross directorate collaboration is a fundamental part of what makes us successful and I am proud to work with a group of driven, dedicated and skilled colleagues in retail, technology, marketing and fundraising, medical, pod and beyond.#beatheartbreakforever
