I advise technology-focused businesses, from emerging companies to leading global corporations, on how to strategically build and protect intellectual property portfolios that align with their business objectives. My practice focuses on patent portfolio management, domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, and intellectual property transactional matters in a variety of technical fields. I further have extensive experience preparing patent opinions to effectively counsel clients on enforcement and avoidance strategies, including clearance, infringement, and invalidity opinions.My experience includes working with companies in a variety of industries that include mechanical, electronic, software, and materials technologies. Examples of such technologies include composites materials, battery systems, wearable electronics, simulation software, medical devices, diagnostic systems, digital healthcare solutions, optical and imaging technologies, micro-fluidic systems, propulsion systems, computer hardware, infrastructure systems, power equipment, packaging systems, and consumer goods.In addition to providing counsel on intellectual property procurement, transactional, and opinion matters, my experience further extends to providing guidance on post-grant and effective enforcement strategies. I further advise clients on trademark prosecution and agreements as well as general IP matters.
