This is the latest in an accumulative career of multiple activities, projects and experiences. As a late diagnosis ADHDer ( with other undiagnosed neuro conditions ) and father to my beloved son who is diagnosed autistic and also has multiple co exsisting neuro conditions, I am fascinated by this area. I am driven to help it be better understood and catered for. And I am most passionate and therefore hyperfocused to make Neuroconvergence fly. More on this to follow!
ABOUT PETER OBRIEN
I’m a creative producer, event visionary, and social entrepreneur with 20+ years’ experience building cultural moments that bring people together — from open-air cinemas and festivals to wellbeing activations and purpose-led projects. I founded Happenings, one of Ireland’s most loved open-air event platforms, and co-founded Another Love Story Festival, now a multi-award-winning celebration of music, art, and connection. In 2024, I launched Neuroconvergence — a neurodivergent-led initiative uniting organisations, creatives, professionals, and services working across Ireland’s neurodivergent community. It’s both a professional mission and a personal one: inspired by my son’s autistic journey and my own (late) ADHD diagnosis at 54. Neuroconvergence is my passion project — driven by a belief in radical inclusion, the power of creativity, and the importance of uniting the neurodivergent sector under one shared vision. Happenings continues to grow, and I remain open to new collaborations — but Neuroconvergence is where I bring my full heart, focus, and lived experience right now.
