As a Correctional Officer, I am responsible for working as a part of a team in an Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) facility for juvenile or adult Incarcerated Individuals. In this position, I report to a Correctional Sergeant working on a 12-hour shift, rotating across a variety of duty assignments as needed. I am responsible for supervising the Incarcerated Individuals and monitoring their daily activities. Including directing and ensuring that the Incarcerated Individuals perform their daily activities on schedules such as meals, recreation, education, programs, and work assignments.
