BURNABY SCHOOL DISTRICT – Purchasing Manager2024-Present Senior Procurement Person for the School District Managed and mentored the Procurement Department (3 persons) Worked with Provincial Insurance (SPP) on Capital insurance requirements for new School Builds Developing updated vendor management programs. Responsible for all services and capital RFP (BC Bid Bonfire) Managed district corporate card programs identified additional areas for usage of the existing program. Day to Day procurement requirements for the school district using ERP ATRIEVE System Worked closely with AP ensuring accuracy of PO’s and matching invoices Started vendor review processes, including measuring metrics and value for dollar spends Updated current district procurement policies and supplementals for CCDC-5A, CCDC-2 documents. Evaluate and supported vendor selection based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure that all Govt regulatory rules are followed when Procuring goods & services.(NWPTA, NAFTA, Treaties) Responsible for district cell phones (approx. 300 users) Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements. Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to make informed purchasing decision.
