ABOUT PETER CHAPPELL

NPI TOOLING ENGINEER.I am a highly motivated NPI tooling engineer and have worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years. I am a loyal company employee which shows in the fact I have been at the same company for my whole working life.Starting as a time served toolmaker with a passion for tool making. I have held several roles in the toolroom and tooling department working between the toolroom, pressing plant and assembly production lines. Up to and including standing in for the toolroom supervisor for a period of time.I have worked as an NPI tooling engineer for the last 8 years and have bought in several high volume tooling projects into our home plant and also Gestamp plants in Europe. These projects have been valued up to £3.5 Million in cost of tooling. Just by launch dates and project miles stones being achieved on time I have been very successful in this task.I am a highly motivated man manager dealing with many international companies and individual people. I am a good communicator, very patient and do all I can to assist, advise and teach all the younger tool designers, toolmakers and engineers that I have been involved with when on any project and especially in China. I am passionate about the development of all employees so they can all achieve there full potential.
